Medifast Diet - Lose Weight Healthy Way
If you have been searching for a proven diet plan that you can completely trust, stop searching cause you’ve found it - the Medifast Diet is what you need. To gain your trust even more I will just say that Forbes selected Medifast as one of America’s 200 Best Small Companies and placed it at number 28 in the list.
Medifast diet is based mainly on clinically proven meal replacements, which are all low in calories, carbs and fats, as well as portioned controlled to supply you with all you need at one meal.
Medifast diet also includes many other prepacked foods and meals - Food Supplements, Creamy Soups, Fast Soups and Snacks, Supplement Bars, Lean Meats, Green Salads, Cooked Vegetables. With Medifast you will also receive an easy to follow diet meal plan.
The most popular Medifast Diet Plan is the “5 & 1″ meal plan, which includes 5 Medifast Meals plus 1 Lean and Green meal per day. That means you will eat 6 times a day on every 2-3 hours, so you will never get hungry or feel down even with 800 to 1000 calories.
Losing weight with Medifast diet is truly fast, easy and healthy way. Easy because with you don’t need to count calories, drink confusing weight loss pills that all look the same way. Fast and healthy because you can lose somewhere between 2 – 5 pound a week (8 - 20 pounds in one month), which is absolutely safe and unique as no other weight loss diet plan can offer you such fast and safe results.
Low calorie, low carbs and low fat diet meal plan – that’s the Medifast diet and its guarantee for successful Medifast weight loss!
But what if you have already tried similar diets that didn’t work for you?
That reminds me of some people saying that you gained back the lost weight after the Medifast or any other similar diet. When you get back to your same old and bad eating habits, you will gain back the weight regardless of the diet you’ve used. But that doesn’t mean the diet doesn’t actually work. On the contrary it worked but you need the weight maintenance plan to maintain your weight loss for life:
The weight maintenance plan includes gradually reducing the number of Medifast meals to 3 up to day 16 after the diet. From day 17 on you can eat between 1 to 3 meals daily (meal replacements or snacks) in addition to a regular healthy diet. Many people, who have successfully lost the weight and kept it off, continue to use Medifast on a regular basis. It is great for people on the “go”. And finally, don’t forget to develop your moderate exercise routine of 3 - 5 days a week of about 30 - 45 minutes.
The cost of Medifast “5 & 1″ diet meal plan is $275 for 4 weeks. There are options to choose the plan you need - women, men or dietitian plan, as well as for 4 weeks or 2 weeks. You will also find a different person with before and after pictures on each page. These are professional pictures of real people that have lost real pounds with Medifast diet.

Even though this might be a good way to lose weight it is hard to see it as a permanent weight loss solution. Having meal replacements is hard to maintain in are day to day lives and sticking to something is very unlikely.

I find it hard to use meal supplements due to having a family. I mean, it’s difficult to sit there with “your” meal while the rest of the family is eating “their” meal. It’s cost prohibitive for the entire family to eat meal supplements also.
I believe Medi Fast is probably one of the best meal supplement plans out there because it has clinical backing. I just don’t think it could be used as a permanent life style change though.

Hello kathy, I am happy for your friends and I hope they will go great on the Medifast Diet, cause it’s really a great diet. I also admire your will to help them anyway, so I am going to help you to help them
First you need to go to Medifast Official Website and visit the “tools & community” section from the main upper menu. Then search for the “medifast downloads” section from the sub menu on the left. The resources on this page will give you all you need to know about Medifast Diet in great details. Pay attention to the “New Medifast Quick Start Guide” and read it out - it’ll answer to all your questions.
I will give you a few brief answers to what you wanna know:
Outside the Medifast group your friend could eat Lean & Green Meals:
Lean is for meats - Fish, Shellfish, Game Meat, etc… Read how to prepare them
Green is for vegetables - not all are allowed, though. Here are some - Asparagus, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Spinach, etc… Also read how to prepare them
As for the fluids - besides the 8 cups of water a day, your friends could drink also any calorie-free beverages like unsweetened hot or iced tea, herbal tea, coffee, diet sodas… There are more find them out
Also your friends should limit coffee and caffeinated drinks to three per day and avoid alcohol.
I hope I was helpful. For any other questions feel free to ask again.
And one last thing, would you ask your friends to share their experience with Medifast diet here with us, or you can write us here how they are doing on the diet?
Thank you,
