It is important to follow a gastric bypass diet after a surgery. The diet is designed to be gentle on your new smaller stomach, to ensure proper healing of the staple line, and to help you avoid overeating.
Gastric Bypass diet is generally divided into four phases, which I will describe in short. You should also know that the last phase of the diet will actually turn into your regular diet for the rest of your life. Â
Gastric Bypass Diet Restrictions

The oxidative damages and the occurrence of some diseases are connected. For example the LDL oxidation by free radicals results in inflammation, which may lead to cardiovascular disease.
The consumption of foods high in antioxidants may lower the risk of certain diseases caused by cellular oxidative damages.

In order to achieve Yin – Yang balance you must avoid eating only extremely Yin foods, extremely Yang foods, as well as processed foods with artificial colors, flavors, additives, and preservatives.
Yin foods are – sugars, chocolate, fruits and raw vegetables that grow above soil, juices and alcohol.
Yang foods are all animal foods – eggs, dairy, meat products and fish, as well as cooked root vegetables, coffee, and hot spices.
The macrobiotic diet is low in fat and rich in fiber, and recommends plenty of healthy foods, such as:
Wholegrain foods (50-60% of daily food intake) – brown rice, barley, millet, oats, corn, rye, whole wheat, and buckwheat are considered to be the most balanced Yin-Yang foods.
