			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When talking about green tea being so beneficial and healthy to drink, there are a few things that bother me:</p>
<p><strong>What about green tea during pregnancy?<br />
Is it safe for pregnant women to drink green tea?<br />
Can you get pregnant if you are drinking green tea?</strong></p>
<p>The answers to all these questions are <span id="more-125"></span> NO. It is NOT safe to drink green tea while pregnant.</p>
<p>Even though green tea is still one of the best ways to lose weight, pregnant women should be very careful with it. Due to its unclear and still serious side effects it may cause to the baby.</p>
<p><strong>Why taking folate during pregnancy is important?</strong></p>
<p>All future mothers must take folate, at least during the first three months of their pregnancy, because it is very important in order to prevent neural tube defects that affect baby’s brain development.</p>
<p><strong>Why Green Tea is not healthy for pregnant women and their babies?</strong></p>
<p>The EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate &#8211; main active antioxidant compound of GT) is the reason why green tea must not be used by pregnant women, because it affects the way folate is absorbed by the baby’s organism, which may cause the above said defects.</p>
<p><strong>How exactly Green Tea is not healthy?</strong></p>
<p>EGCG affects the baby’s absorption of folate, by binding the enzyme GHFR and inactivating it. This enzyme is important because it is involved in folate absorption in baby’s organism. When this enzyme is deactivated the baby can’t absorb folate and the protection the folate affords to the neural system of the baby is highly reduced.</p>
<p><strong>Why EGCG is acting like that?</strong></p>
<p>Because it is chemically similar to a compound called methotrexate. This compound binds to DHFR enzyme (dihydrofolate reductase) and this way kills cancer cells.</p>
<p>Because of its chemical similarity to methotrexate, the EGCG also binds to the DHFR enzyme and deactivates it this way. And I said earlier when DHFR is deactivated the baby can’t use folate from mother’s organism.</p>
<p><strong>Conclusion</strong></p>
<p>Although Green Tea has shown great benefits for stopping cancer cells growth if taken on regular bases, it is not good to be taken by pregnant women. The good news is that you still will be able to take your favorite cup of coffee in the morning, but only if it’s not that strong as you have used to drink it before getting pregnant.</p>

<p>Participants were asked about their lifestyles and also have their blood tested, as well as their Vitamin C intake measured (Vitamin C is an indicator of how much fruit and vegetables people ate). All participants were middle-aged and older (45-79).</p>
<p>Here are the four small changes you need to do in order to improve your health and add 14 more years to your life:</p>
<p>1. <strong>Quit smoking</strong><br />
2. <strong>Eat fruits and vegetables &#8211; 5 servings every day</strong><br />
3. <strong>Exercise regularly</strong><br />

However you can speed up the weight loss process by following some simple rules. I am not the inventor of these rules; I just collected the information to offer it to you into digestible chunks.</p>
<p><strong>Rule Number 1</strong> Avoid all tempting snacks and replace them with Medifast diet products</p>

<p>As Valentin&#8217;s Day passed not long ago, and I&#8217;m sure you were so tempted to eat at least couple of yummy chocolates, right? My point is you should avoid tempting sweets and replace them with Medifast diet products every time you can. They are just as sweet and delicious as the original sweet products they replace.</p>
<p><strong>Rule Number 2</strong> Set up small achievable goals.<span id="more-93"></span></p>
<p>You should set up small achievable goals, which means you shouldn&#8217;t try to slip on into size 8 from the very first couple of days on the Medifast.</p>
<p>Focus on your current goals, stay on the Medifast and the results will come sooner than you expect. Keep on updating your current goals as soon as you reach them. For example when you reach size 10 then focus on size 8, not from size 12 to 8.</p>

<p><strong>1) Make sure you are really ready for this</strong></p>
<p>Before go on a diet ask yourself the following questions:</p>
<p>a) Do you have the right motivation?<br />
b) Are you able to devote 20-30% of your time to your body?<br />
c) Do you have a support from your family and friends?<br />
d) Would you accept the things you cannot change?<br />
e) Is weight loss of top priority for you?<br />
f) Is dieting right for you?<br />

<p><strong>4) Track your results honestly using software for your convenience</strong></p>
<p>This step is a very important part of your successful weight loss journey. You can track your results on a simple sheet of paper. However, I do not recommend this old fashioned way to collect data. There are software tools developed for your convenience with various functions like calorie counting, body mass index, measure current fat, setting weight goals and many others.</p>
<p>To achieve successful weight loss &#8211; analyze your results.<br />
Enter your current weight. Set your goals. Calculate your body mass index.<br />
Track your daily calorie intake correctly. Do not miss even the small cookie you had in front of your TV.</p>
<p>Let one week pass at least. Than analyze the accumulated data. You will be amazed how much unnecessary foods you have eaten.</p>
<p><strong>5) Go for a walk at the weekends</strong></p>
<p>I always go for a long walk at the weekends.  That way I relax and leave the stress behind. I suggest you to do the same. Go where the air is fresh. Remember &#8211; oxygen burns the fat.</p>
<p>After the first time I went on such long walk, I couldnâ€™t do anything more than sitting in front of my computer. On the next day, I had an awful muscular fever.</p>
<p>The muscular fever is the proof that something is working on your body. But don&#8217;t worry. This is only a temporary effect. It&#8217;s because your muscles are full with toxins and your body is detoxifying.</p>
<p>If you walk or exercise regularly, you will never have a muscular fever again. Instead, you will fill healthy and full with energy.</p>
<p><strong>6) Exercise at least 3 times per week</strong></p>
<p>I know exercising is frustrating. Lazy people hate it. But this is the only path to the beautiful body. You can be thin with cellulite and a lot of fat. Do you want that? I doubt.</p>
<p>To be honest, exercise once a week is a waste of time. Exercise at least 3 times per week and you will be amazed by the results.</p>
<p>I recommend the use of motorized treadmill or exercise bike vs. running for weight loss. Running takes more time and effort to achieve the same results.</p>

<p>Exercise at least 30 minutes and make sure you have a lot of sweat on your body. Also drink plenty of liquids to compensate the fluid loss.</p>

<p><strong>1) Go for a walk at the weekends</strong></p>
<p>I always go for a long walk at the weekends.Â  That way I relax and leave the stress behind. I suggest you to do the same. Go where the air is fresh. Remember &#8211; oxygen burns the fat.<span id="more-73"></span></p>
<p>After the first time I went on such long walk, I couldnâ€™t do anything more than sitting in front of my computer. On the next day, I had an awful muscular fever.</p>
<p>The muscular fever is the proof that something is working on your body. But donâ€™t worry. This is only a temporary effect. Itâ€™s because your muscles are full with toxins and your body is detoxifying.</p>
<p>If you walk or exercise regularly, you will never have a muscular fever again. Instead, you will fill healthy and full with energy.</p>
<p><strong>2) Exercise at least 3 times per week</strong></p>
<p>I know exercising is frustrating. Lazy people hate it. But this is the only path to the beautiful body. You can be thin with cellulite and a lot of fat. Do you want that? I doubt.</p>
<p>To be honest, exercise once a week is a waste of time. Exercise at least 3 times per week and you will be amazed by the results.</p>
<p>I recommend the use of motorized treadmill or exercise bike vs. running for weight loss. Running takes more time and effort to achieve the same results.</p>
<p>During your exercises, use a slimming belt for maximum fat burning effect. You can make a slimming belt by yourself or buy a professional one.</p>
<p>Exercise at least 30 minutes and make sure you have a lot of sweat on your body. Also drink plenty of liquids to compensate the fluid loss.</p>
