Do you remember my article a few years ago Importance of Eating Breakfast – for and against?
Well, it’s been a while since I wrote that article, but I am still convinced that eating breakfast is the most beneficial thing you should do in the morning.
It’s a fact that if you skip breakfast you are more likely to gain unnecessary weight. Fat burning is most active in the morning and with eating breakfast you will boost that process even more and burn more fat and calories during the day.
Remember every diet you’ve ever read or started yourself? They usually start with: for breakfast eat this, for breakfast snack eat that and so on. Breakfast is important for all dieters.
You may reduce the risks of serious illnesses like stroke, heart disease, diabetes, and cancer only by eating breakfast. Why? Because it boosts your metabolism, makes your immune system stronger, and your body more resistant to some of the most common sicknesses like flu and cold conditions.
Improved memory and concentration is what every breakfast eater gets every morning. A study on children found that kids who eat breakfast score higher on tests and are less likely to suffer from depression, anxiety, and hyperactivity. It should help you at the office, too.
You are eating your breakfast … Well done!
But let’s see exactly what are you eating …
… something very little in a hurry at home or on the go to work. As a result you get so hungry during the day that you either overeat at lunch or worse – in the evening. The truth is those simple carbohydrates that you eat (and claim to be a breakfast) only give you a moment blood sugar levels rise and you feel energetic, but that’s all for a couple of hours and then you body starts craving for real food.
If you think about the classy breakfast cereal with skim milk then think again… You probably will be surprised but that fiber-rich breakfast is not enough for a really great start for the day. That’s because it provides only abut 300 calories and 10 g proteins, while your body needs at least 500 to 600 calories at breakfast plus vitamins, minerals, and at least 20 g of proteins and 5 g of fiber.
That’s how a nutritious breakfast will look like and it guarantees you a high-quality and long-lasting energy supply for your body for a fresh start in the morning and great day.
