You can start Protein Shake diet by drinking only protein shakes all day for at least one week. You can still add different fresh vegetables to your shakes but that’s all – no sweets, no or low carbs, no regular meals. Only water and other low or no carbohydrate drinks. After the first week you can start gradually add healthy meals to your menu.
For example most protein shakes contain whey protein isolate, no fats (or insignificant amount), vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and sometimes fibers, carbohydrates and very little amounts of sugar. The calories are usually about 100 per serving.
Drinking shakes and losing weight quickly go hand in hand. It’s very simple – they are portion controlled, packed nutritious powders that are easily mixed in a big cups, shaker or blender with water, skim milk of juice.
